K-2 Biddy Basketball

The Conway Recreation Department will be offering Biddy Basketball. This program is for children in grades K-2 and will focus on basic skills, such as dribbling, passing and shooting for the beginner. This program will also teach your child the terminology of basketball. The program will begin on Saturday November 12th and run for five weeks, ending on December 17th (No Biddy Basketball on Nov. 26th). The girls program will run from 9:00 a.m.-9:45 a.m. The boys program will run from 9:45-10:30 a.m. The program is limited to the first 25 girls, and first 25 boys. Cost is $10 which includes a t-shirt. Your child Must be registered by Monday November 7th.
Girls & Boys Intramural Basketball Program
The Conway Recreation Department will be offering basketball for girls and boys in grades 3-6 beginning on Friday November 4th for new players. Girls will run from 3:45-4:30 p.m. Boys will run from 4:30-5:15 p.m. The first practice for returning girls players will be on Monday November 7th and Tuesday November 8th for returning boys players. Coaches will call all players with practice times. The intramural basketball program consists of practices and games one to two times a week running through February 10th. The cost of the program is $10 and you MUST be registered by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday November 3rd.
Girls & Boys Travel Team
The Conway Recreation Department will be hosting try-outs for our boys & girls travel team on Monday November 21st at the Conway Recreation Department Gym. Boys try-outs will run from 4:15-5:00 p.m. Girls try-outs will run from 5:00-5:45 p.m. Boys & girls trying out must be in 4th grade. Players will be asked to compete in a number of drills in order to narrow the team down to 10 players. The cost of this program is $10 and players MUST be registered by Thursday November 17th. Players who do not pre-register will NOT be allowed to participate in try-outs. In addition we are looking for volunteer coaches for both programs. Registration forms must be dropped off at the Conway Recreation Dept. by the registration deadline! NO LATE REGISTRATION FORMS WILL BE ACCEPTED! For questions call 447-5680.
