2018 Staff

Rachel Samia is returning as a fifth year counselor at the Conway Rec. Rachel graduated from the University of New Hampshire this past spring with a bachelors degree in Child Development. This Fall Rachel is continuing her education at UNH and is working on her Masters in Elementary Education. Rachel‘s favorite thing to do in her free time is to play outside and go to the beach.

 

Grant Meserve is a fifth year counselor at the Conway Rec Dept. He graduated from the University of Maine Orono this past May with an undergraduate degree in Physical Education. He is returning to coach his state championship middle school football team in Orono this fall. In the spring he will be attending the Scouting Academy in Greensburo, North Carolina to work with NFL executives and pro scouts. He wishes to one day be in an NFL organization working in the scouting department. Soxs in 6!  

 

Robby Moody is entering his fourth year as a counselor here at the Conway Rec! Moody Graduated from Kennett High school in 2015 and moved on to study Recreation Management and Policy at the University of New Hampshire. Robby is very friendly so don’t be afraid to go up to him and say hello. In his free time he enjoys playing and watching sports and spending time with friends. He also wants to learn how to play the guitar this summer!

 

Matt Kelly is entering his fourth year as a counselor. Matt is a 2012 Kennett High School graduate who graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) with a degree in German, international affairs and secondary education. While at UMBC he also played four years of ice hockey at UMBC. Following completion of his undergraduate degree, he taught English at a high school in Munich as a J. William Fulbright award winner. Currently, Kelly is continuing his education at the University of Maryland, College Park and will be graduating with his MA in Germanic Studies this coming spring.

 

Kate McPherson is entering her third year as a counselor. Kate graduated from Kennett High School in 2016. She will be attending her Junior year at Plymouth State University where she is studying Elementary Education. She also plays for Plymouth State’s field hockey team. Kate enjoys hiking and being around her friends.

 

 

Victoria Burns is a second year counselor at the Conway Rec. She just graduated from Kennett High School in 2016.  She attends the University of New Hampshire and is majoring in Business Administration. She enjoys hiking with her friends and being active outside.

 

 

Julia Quinn is a third year counselor at the Conway Rec. Julia just graduated from Fryeburg Academy in 2016 and will be entering her junior year at St. Joe’s in Maine where she plays basketball. Julia is studying education. Julia’s favorite thing to do in her free time is play sports and go hiking!

 

Sydney Charles is a third year counselor at the Conway Rec. She has just graduated from the University of Maine where she studied exercise science, and will be attending the University of New England in the fall to study Physical Therapy. Sydney loves to play sports, be outside, spend time at the beach, and hang out with friends.

 

Arielle Rivard is a third year counselor and is entering her senior year at Thomas College, majoring in Marketing and Communications. She is an actress in both plays and musicals, and enjoys outdoors activities such as camping and hiking.

 

 

Abby Davis  is a second year counselor at the Conway Rec. Abby graduated from Fryeburg Academy in 2016 and will be entering her junior year at University of New England in Biddeford, Maine, where she is studying elementary education. Abby has hopes to become a 1st grade teacher once she graduates from UNE. Abby’s favorite thing to do in her free time is do yoga and play Ultimate Frisbee, as well as enjoy the outdoors in the beautiful White  Mountains! 

 

 

 

 

Cain Drouin is a second-year counselor at the Conway Rec Department. He attends the University of Maine. In his first year in college he acted in one show. He also assistant stage managed the fall dance show case. On top if this he did a lot of technical theater. He on top of the first 3 weeks of rec he is the Stage Manager for Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. He enjoys having an amazing time with friends and being active.

 

Makayla Frost is a second-year counselor at the Conway Rec. Department. Makayla recently graduated from the University of Maine at Farmington, with a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education. Makayla hopes to find a first grade teaching position this winter after completing her student teaching this fall. When not working, Makayla enjoys playing sports and fishing. 

 

Zach Bradley is a second-year counselor at the Conway Rec Dept. He is entering his junior year at the University of Connecticut and is studying Actuarial Science. He participated in Soccer, Basketball, and Tennis in High School at Kennett. His favorite food is Chicken Broccoli Alfredo and he enjoys playing any sport he can.

 

Sam Sires is going into his fourth year at the University of New Hampshire and is studying political science. This will be his second year as a counselor at the Conway Rec Department. Sam attended the Rec camp when he was younger. He enjoys playing sports of all kinds, hiking, photography and being outside in general.

 

Taylor Nusbaum is a first year counselor at the Conway Rec Dept. She graduated from Kennett High School this past June. Taylor is planning on attending the University of New England in the fall to study dental hygiene and is going to be a member of the UNE Dance Team. In her free time, she enjoys babysitting and hanging out with friends.

 

 

 

 

Mackenzie Murphy is a first year counselor, and a 2018 Kennett graduate. Beginning in the fall, he is taking a post-graduate year at Bridgton Academy to pursue his goal of playing college hockey. In his time at Kennett he served as Student Body President and played on the hockey, soccer, and lacrosse teams. In his free time, he enjoys putting his graphic design skills to work by making videos and posters.
